Who We Are

East Coast Well Drilling, Inc. was formed in 2006 by Dave Primost and Ben Bogus with Kevin Thier recently joining the company as a principal.  The company has 60 years of combined business experience.  The partners will provide their customers with high quality workmanship and professional service.

The range of services for residential and commercial properties includes drilling shallow, intermediate and deep water wells, installing all types of pumps, well sealing and repairing water systems.  The company also specializes in the installation of geothermal wells, both open loop and closed loop systems and the specialized pump circulation systems required by ground source heat pumps.

Our Crew

Dave Primost is a college graduate with a degree in science, holds a NJ Master Well Driller License and a Florida Water Well Contractor’s license.  Dave has National Ground Water Association certifications in well drilling and pump installations.  Prior to moving to Florida, he was a principal in Pickwick Well Drilling, Inc. for over 45 years and served as a President and Director of the NJ Ground Water Association.
Through the years, he has been a regular instructor in well drilling subjects for the industry, apprentice programs and many NJ & Florida county health inspectors.  He still provides consultant services for well drilling contractors in the ground water industry.

Dave has extensive experience in the design and installation of geothermal ground source heat pumps.

Prior to forming East Coast Well Drilling, Inc., Dave developed the well drilling program and designed the well drilling equipment for a Florida water well and irrigation contractor.  Additionally, he trained their drillers.

Dave is a member of the National Ground Water Association, the NJ Ground Water Association and the Florida Ground Water Association.

Ben Bogus was previously employed by a Florida water well and irrigation contractor and worked as their principal well driller.  He has drilled over 600 irrigation and domestic water wells throughout Brevard and Indian River counties.

Ben holds a Florida Water Well Contractor’s license and is a member of the National Ground Water Association and the Florida Ground Water Association.

Kevin Thier is a college graduate with a degree in social & behavioral science and is qualified to teach in primary and secondary school systems.  Several years ago, Kevin had the opportunity to pursue a career in well drilling and, as a result,  joined this company as a principal.  He brings not only well drilling experience, but experience in business management, advertising and sales.

Kevin holds a Florida Water Well Contractor’s license and is also a member of the National Ground Water Association and the Florida Ground Water Association.
